Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the CEO of Thrive Global. Author of over 15 books. Arianna Huffington has been a TV host, journalist writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than ten years. She is also the owner of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. She emigrated to Greece to England aged 16 where she obtained a MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. She was the first student who was not from the UK to serve as president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Being a conservative syndicated blog when she graduated, she became an influential voice for the Huffington Post. The fame of her name helped by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to publish their thoughts about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna became famous in 2003 when she decided to stand for a non-partisan position in the California recall election in order to succeed the Governor Davis. Alongside that, she led an initiative in Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient cars. She was named The Most influential women in media according to Forbes in 2009, and was awarded 12th position on the list. The same year, the Guardian named her on the 100 most influential media on their list. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as head of its media division that also includes other AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos, a journalist and management consultant. Although she had a close connection to both her father and mother, it was their bond that helped shape her. At a young age, she displayed the qualities of a leader that she is still known for. When she was 16 she moved into the United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college, she joined Cambridge Union's college debating societies which she later became the first foreign and female president. The year 1972 was the year her master's in Economics was awarded. She worked as a critic as well as a host on TV as well as a columnist following her graduation. In addition, she appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his editing assistance.
