Amy Smart has been a actor, model and former American. Her modelling career began in Italy in Italy, in which she was born and raised, before being born in California. Her first acting role was in the TV production Her Costly Affair. Then, in a small role in the movie Starship Troopers she struggled very difficult. It was a hard time for her to make the transition between modeling and acting because the models werent usually thought of as actors and tended to be granted smaller, insignificant roles. Yet, somehow Amy did not give up and stepped into bigger roles eventually starting with the show The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her play larger roles. It was a huge film at the box office and Amy has finally achieved the success she'd been striving for for over a decade. Then she continued to appear in some of the biggest film productions, such as the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she played a recognizable character.
