Her parents were Nardos Gebrelul, her mother (an Eritrean immigrant dentist, born in Ethiopia), and John Benton her father (a lawyer of Japanese as well as African American descent). Her single "Big Mouth" gained her traction in the first quarter of 2019 and she continued to do well in the year ahead. Rose was a guest in American rapper Cardi B's music video for her single "WAP" that was released on the 7th of August the 7th of August, 2020. A&R Chris Turner signed her to LA Reid's record label Hitco Entertainment in 2019. Rubi is also famous for her high-profile relationships.
